A few years ago I started this gentle, sweet, innocent, harmless show to better understand my own finances so I could get out of debt.

I asked questions like, what happens when you call your bank and what is a stock?

It was an idyllic time.

Then this show evolved into something more.

Now we look at the financial systems that divide us.

And our relationships with money and how that affects how we spend and how it can literally shape our lives, all kinds of very uplifting stuff.

We became social justice warriors and mild socialists and then more hardcore socialists.

A few months ago we were wrapping up season 5 and we had an original idea for season 6 which was how we endlessly chase money, how we try to buy the best version of ourselves.

By obsessing over things like lavish experiences to prove we have a great social life, buying the highest quality organic food, spending hundreds if not thousands on products to get perfect skin.
