America's baby boomers are sitting on big bucks,

but what does a gray-shaped economy mean for the rest of us and the economy?

We see, you know, a lot of planning so that they have money to leave behind.

And that's the good news, I think, for the economy,

because then that wealth will again be spent over a very long period of time.

A recent survey from the Pew Research Center reveals the baby boomers have amassed more wealth than any previous generation of Americans.

Collectively, boomers have accumulated about $85 trillion. The generation's median household net worth surpassed $432,000 in

2022, a figure significantly higher than the silent generation in 2001 and the greatest generation in 1983,

even after adjusting for inflation. The country's changing demographics are reshaping jobs

and spending in profound ways. With 70% of the national wealth now held by those over the age of 55,

that's according to Federal Reserve data, what does

this mean for the future of the economy? How will businesses and the government respond to an

older generation with deep pockets looking to either spend it or pass it down to the next

generation? The baby boomers have had the benefit of, you know, a thriving stock market when

they were young and employed, housing prices that went up. And so their of, you know, a thriving stock market when they were young and employed,

housing prices that went up. And so their share, I think they are the richest generation ever.
