Bruce, a little later on, we're going to get to early signing day, which is coming up on Wednesday,

some of the coaching hires, including a very unusual one recently.

Let's get to some of your emails.

But first, Joe Burrow, as expected, won the highs been Saturday night, broke the record

for most or for highest percentage of first place votes and overall votes.

We can finally say who we voted for.

And you surprised some people by announcing who your runner-up was.

I did. So, you know, look, in reality, I think this was the easiest Heisman vote that I've ever

had in terms of, in a decade plus of doing it. Joe Burrow was the runaway number one. I'd say there was probably

a half dozen guys I've looked at for the two and three spots. But the more I thought about it,

I went back and look, I think I saw every guy who was going to be considered up close and, you know,

did one of their games as well as talk to their coaches.

The guy who I came away saying, you know what, I think I'm going to vote number two was Penae Sewell.

And I know a lot of people are looking like, wait, you can't have an offensive lineman.

Well, look, if, you know, like our colleague Andy Staples, I think, was one of several people who had Derek Brown from Auburn,

who's a great defensive player, defensive lineman, on his list. And here's my thinking on that.

Penae Soule, if you talk to anybody who is either coached him or coached against him or, you know, basically seen him,

he's hands down the best

offensive linemen in college football. He dominated every week. I went back and spoke to his

coaches. I mean, you know, consistently his assignment grade was like 98, 95, 96, 97. And he
