You may have seen the images already, thousands of stranded burning man attendees,

finally making a mass exodus from the festival after intense rain this weekend,

flooded the campsites and caused a lot of deep, foot deep mud.

Our Kate Rooney has more on the story and it's the tech check for today.

So over Labor Day weekend, some people, you know, they're heading to the beach or the U.S. Open,

others especially a tech crowd here in the Bay Area make the voyage to Burning Man.

The Countercultural Festival attracts artists, celebrities, and more recently tech moguls and

investors. This year the desert in northwest Nevada where this is held saw

torrential downpours, normally pretty dry lakebed,

turned into what some were describing as a muddy bog.

They said it was a foot deep.

The event organizers told some of the 73,000 attendees to shelter and place

and at one point shut down the exits.

I caught up with tech investor,

Sheila Man not, who's been going to Burning Man

since 2010.

He actually got married at the event this year you can see the photo there

Congrat shield he told me after getting over the quote mini panic attack of

being stuck most people just embraced it.

It was definitely not a Lord of the Fly situation, I would say, quite the opposite.
