Ladies and gentlemen, we have a press report over the wires that the President of the United

States has been the victim of an assassination.

That was the scene at Boston Symphony Hall 57 years ago this Sunday, November 22, 1963.

This concert-goer has the shocking news of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, a moment

that forever changed the course of American history.

It's also a moment that is vividly captured in the opening of a new documentary, Truth

is the only client, about the official investigation into JFK's murder, conducted by a blue ribbon

commission headed by then Chief Justice Earl Warren.

The film is a rebuttal to decades of conspiracy theories that have swirled around the case,

seeping their way into the country's collective psyche and popular culture.

Those conspiracy theories about Kennedy's murder are all over the map, complete with

elaborate and often contradictory claims about the roles, the CIA, the FBI, the Joint

Chiefs of Staff, the Mafia, the KGB, Lyndon Bain Johnson, and Fidel Castro are supposed

to have had in the events that led to the President's death.

But common to all these conspiracy theories is that the Warren Commission was a cover-up

and got it wrong when it pinned all the culpability for the assassination on one unstable

loner, Lee Harvey Oswald.

The new doc forcefully pushes back on the idea that the Warren Commission concealed the

truth, including interviews with some of the surviving members of the commission who actually

conducted the investigation.
