Hello, everyone, and welcome to Unspooled.

Everybody, welcome to the show.

I am Paul Sheer, joined as always by Amy Nicholson.

This is the show where we look at films.

Are they classics or?

Do we just remember them that way?

And to me, this film that we're about to do is one of the films that I've always been told

is Stone Cold Classic for only one reason.

And this has been my first time watching it.

We are about to embark on one of the core missions of the show.

A film that I'm almost genuinely surprised was not on our original A.F.I.L.S.

because it inspired films that were, like The French Connection, which we took off.

Maybe bullet will fare better.

Well, bullet to me, I agree, is a movie that never really resonated with me,

but I knew I was supposed to like it.

I watch it once as a kid, as I've watched many of the movies that we've talked about here on the show,

and it didn't resonate with me, but it was different watching it now.

I don't know if it's after our conversation about Tom Cruise,

or even after our conversation about leading men.

You know, I thought back a lot to what we talked about when we talked about there will be blood.
