Summary
Can you have burnout in lockdown?
Are you at the end of your rope? Have you had it up to ‘here’? Are you over it? Are you just so plain exhausted that you just can't be bothered?
I don’t know about you, but all the things that used to push me to this feeling haven’t been present in lockdown. I’m no longer rushing, catching trains, trying to keep appointments and juggling a work and social life. I haven’t gone far or done much outside of my home in nearly a year yet I’m feeling similar feelings to those I’ve felt when I’ve previously burnt the candle at both ends. But how?
As I started to investigate what burnout really feels like, what it means, how you get it and how to avoid it, I came across some interesting facts.
In this new episode, I talk about why burnout is actually pretty specific, why the language around feeling overworked, exhausted and tired makes matters even more complicated and why now is a good time to give yourself a break.
