Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson.

It is the hump day edition of the yard. It's been a busy stretch. Give you a brief update. I've

already written the first two chapters of the new book. I might start chapter number three today.

Maybe. We'll see. It's a process, man. It is.

It takes a lot out of me, too. I'm not going to lie. And let's see on Monday I wrote that

lengthy article about 100 years of Mississippi State baseball coaches. Actually one a little bit

deeper than that. So yeah, I've been busy.

But it does. It takes a lot out of me. It really does.

Especially writing about something so personal because you begin to wonder, hey,

is this oversharing? Is this too much?

But the reality of it is, is this is not a vanity project.

This is a opportunity to help people gain some insight into the world of addiction and recovery. And so I'm not holding much back. I'm going to hold some things back, but not much.

And the things that I'll hold back are things that are harmful to other people, right?

There will be some people that will read this and probably think less of me,

and I think most people read it and think more of me, but that's not the purpose. The purpose is

that there are a lot of people out there that get wrapped up in the throes of addiction and begin to

suffer from terminal uniqueness. We begin to think that nobody has ever been through this. We're all

on in the world. Nobody's ever hurt like this. Nobody's ever been this lonely. And the reality of

it is, is that most of us have that have dealt with chemical dependency. And so I'm very fortunate

to be clean and sober.
