Summary
Mississippi State lost their first game of the NCAA tournament yesterday when Vanderbilt got a pair of home runs to build a 6-0 lead. State would battle back and pull within three at 6-3, but Commodore closer Tyler Brown closed the door.
State will take on Louisville tonight in an elimination game in hopes of forcing a pair of rematches with Vanderbilt on Friday and Saturday.
