Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Monday edition of the yard. It's really early. In matter of fact, I'm recording this around midnight on Sunday night. One of those deals where for some reason I decided to make coffee mid-afternoon, so here we are. But I want to sleep late tomorrow,

so I am recording this today so you guys can have it for your morning commute, your lunch break,

or whatever. A lot to talk about, a lot going on right now with Mississippi State Athletics.

I do want to let you guys know, for those of you that are unaware, there will not be a Monday press conference from Mike Leach this week,

since the Bulldogs have kind of an unscheduled open date due to the game with Missouri being postponed.

And it's not related to any COVID-related type of issues with Mississippi State or Missouri.

It's just a matter of Greg Zanky and the league kind of moving some games around.

We discussed that here a couple weeks ago, that the university presidents gave Greg

Sankey the autonomy to do those kind of things to ensure that we get those games.

So you're going to see LSU in Alabama in prime time this coming Saturday night, which will look to be an absolute

bloodbath.

If you recall, there were some things that were said in the locker room last year after Joe

Borough and LSU beat Alabama and Tuscaloosa.

This will be a game that I fully expect Alabama to make a real statement.

They are absolutely rolling.

They destroy Auburn and the Iron Bowl.

We'll talk a little more about that later in the show.

But those are some of the games you're going to see take place.

Arkansas will play Missouri.

And then State and Ole Miss will both have open dates.

I guess we could play again.

I think many Mississippi State fans would love to play again and have a do-over after the game on Saturday.
