midweek edition of the yard. I hope things are well with you. I truly genuinely do. A lot of great things going on out there in the world

Bulldogs take a much needed open date. You know we talk about that all the time. It's like, well, it's a good time for the by week, or it's not really a by week. It's an open date. You know, people like, hey, it's a good time for the break. It's always a good time for the break unless you get it in week two, right? But middle of the year, we can kind of take an inventory. We're going to do some of that today.

We're going to take kind of an inventory of where we are about stuff. Now, I remind you to, this Friday

evening, 6 p.m. Mississippi State now ranked 6th in one poll, 7th and in another soccer poll will host number one Arkansas.

Arkansas leapfrogs over Michigan State. Michigan State had a pair of draws last week.

Arkansas won both of their games, including a game over nationally ranked South Carolina.

So Arkansas number one.

And James Armstrong, the coach, very impressed with him,

as you should be as well.

He's now in his six season, all five seasons that he's been here.

Mississippi State has participated in the

Southeastern Conference tournament.

You can say, but Steve, it's not a big deal.

What it is, because not everybody makes it.

And prior to Coach Armstrong getting here, your soccer program had participated in the

SEC tournament just once.

Yeah, so he's five for five in good position to go six for six.

So we encourage you to come out and be a part of that.

James said that we had never hosted a number one team, and he was correct.

Had a chance to speak to him post game on Sunday.

He goes, I don't think it's ever happened.
