A little bit later than I have been here as of late. I've been getting up early. I don't like getting up early, but I've been getting up early. So I get a bigger start, but we had some news breaking today.

We've been chasing that.

And we finally have a defensive coordinator.

And so we're going to break down the defensive hires.

But Mississippi State still has a couple spots left to fill on the on the field coaching staff.

Of course, big news yesterday as Mississippi State announced, Jason Washington,

Gary Green, and Greg Knox are going to be retained. That is big news from Mississippi State.

Had a chance to visit with Jason Washington last week at the women's basketball game against

Miami, and I can tell you, his guy that's been around Jason Washington for a few years now,

he wears his emotions on his sleeve.

And I can see how all this was weighing on him. Of course, Jay Wash married a Starkville young lady.

And, of course, you know, you don't want to open your life that way, right?

I mean, you kind of buy on thinking you're going to be here for a while.

But the news finally official, and I've spoken to Jason, of course, very relieved, very, very relieved, very happy to

have Coach Wash.

And of course, Greg Knox, I don't think there was ever any real question about Greg

Knox or even Gary Green.

And I don't know, there was a lot of anxiety about Jason Washington.
