So yesterday I laid out a bit of a mystery that I was on a road trip

and that I would tell you today where I was headed, where I now am.

And if you had guest Maryland, because that's where quite a bit of our family

lives, the radio station where I work is in Maryland, head back to Maryland multiple times every

year. That would be a good guess, but I actually went in the opposite direction. I headed south.

And yesterday, when I was talking to you, and we were, well, you were doing most of the walking,

but yesterday I was in Jacksonville, Florida.

That was the midway point in my road trip.

And once I got something to eat, hopped back in the car,

kept on driving, and arrived in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

Late yesterday afternoon, and that's where I am right now,

staying with our daughter, Grace, her her husband Brandon and their five children.

And the reason for this road trip a few weeks ago, my daughter gave birth to her fifth child,

a beautiful little girl named Savannah Jodra Allen. And Ava was here when

Savannah was born. She came down to Fort Walton Beach for about a week, almost a week. She helped

out with the other four children while Grace was in the hospital and so Ava's had the opportunity

to meet Savannah. I have not. So that's really what this trip is all about, getting to meet my

new granddaughter. Savannah is our ninth grandchild and so I'm going to be here for a couple of days.
