When I think of Jesus in his most distress right before the cross when he's in the garden,

and he is so sad that his disciples can't be really present with him.

And it's like his nervous system, you can see like there's a distress there, not because

he doesn't trust God, but because he's in a human body.

Last week, my friend Carissa Lopez, a licensed professional

counselor, joined me and we had a conversation about adult attachment patterns. She introduced

us to the concept and we spent a lot of time talking about secure attachment, which is

the pattern that we long for and she shared some loving behaviors that you could integrate into

your parenting to help provide that security that your kids are looking for and that we as

children were looking for and may not have received, which can sometimes lead us to some

insecure attachment patterns. And one that we talked about was the dismissive pattern.

This is part two, and we're talking about another insecure attachment pattern, which is the

pre-occupied. We spent a little bit of time on the disorganized attachment, the most chaotic

and the most rare of all of the attachment patterns. Then we spend a little time talking about
