tweeted quote, whenever I speak at churches in schools, I'm always clear that one of the

great gifts of parents can give their son is proper self-confidence.

It's the birthplace of the practice of wisdom.

You never have to worry about his decisions.

With it Bradley also linked to an article from the Child Mind Institute which points out that

a lot of study and attention has been given

in recent years to building the self-esteem of girls, but very little has been dedicated to

building the confidence of boys.

Part of the problem, of course, is our cultural move towards and

and progeny, treating males and females as if they're interchangeable and

as if they're socially constructed reductions of real human beings. But boys and

girls really are different. There's not a one-size-fits-all approach to either

parenting or to schooling. A tragic result of trying that is now young men who are unable

to control their impulses and who are prone to

self-harm and even to violence and any solution will have to begin by
