From the pages of Hebrews Chapter 11, the Great Hall of Faith,

It sets in motion a chain of events in the life of other people. It sets in motion the influence of our faith

in our family. Now, we were introduced to that principle in Hebrews chapter 11, verse number seven,

with Noah and his family. But now we come to one of the extended stories in Hebrews chapter number 11, this great faith chapter,

and it is the story of Abraham. It begins in verse number eight, and really it continues all the way

down through verse number 22. Now, it encompasses others. You're going to have his wife Sarah, you're going to have his son

Isaac, you're going to have his grandson Jacob, you're going to have his great-grandson Joseph,

but it is one family. It is literally a household of faith. Galatians chapter 6, verse number 10,

refers to the church that way as a household of faith,

the household of God, a family of faith. And really, that's what a church is. It is God's family.

But may I make an application based on the example of Abraham and his family? God wants your family to be a family of faith.
