What we're moving towards right now is having an amazing business that we don't want to sell, but is sellable.

Yeah.

I think that's like the dream for all of us, right?

And I think the biggest thing is making sure that we're stepping in to doing work that energizes us more often than not.

I've got a barometer, got an internal barometer that I take a checkpoint at the end of every week.

And I go, okay, 80% is kind of my number.

I go, did 80% of the things I did this week give me energy.

Or did they drain my energy.

And if I'm below 80, then I go, okay, well, let's do what I call an energy audit.

It's lying down the middle of the paper. I made this in 2012

when I was in that previous kind of challenging point and line down the middle of the paper.

And before that, what people would tell me to do is write all the things that make me money on one

side and all the things that don't make me money on the other side. And then you write all the things. And then all the things that make you money, you should do more of those, they told me.

And then all the things that don't make you money, you should delegate them all. Right. And I did that.

And I grew myself into a job that I hated because I was doing things that made me money but drain my energy right we want to do both exactly so after that i do the line down the

middle of paper i'm like what if i just look at energy moving forward what gives me energy what drains my

energy yeah and what if every quarter i just prune off the things that drain my energy and either say no

to them or delegate them and then i just add things that give energy even if they don't make money

like golf like golf dude right there which I wish we were doing this afternoon.
