I wanted to talk about an article that just appeared in Men's Journal, at least in the online edition, called Building a Bigger Action Hero.

It's written by a journalist named Logan Clark and it's making the rounds.

And I'm going to explain why the article is nonsense, but I want

to talk a little bit more broadly and cover some other themes.

doesn't understand anything about steroids.

The article is ostensibly about how Hollywood actors train to become

well, action heroes. How do you look like action heroes? And there's a sentence in there

that completely discredits the article and I'm going to explain why the article is discredited and then

explain to you how journalism works. The sentence in the article says,

steroids produce rounder, water-attaining muscles instead of the lean, mean bodies currently in vogue.

If you've ever used anabolic steroids or no someone who has, you are laughing at the

nonsense of it, but if you haven't used it, then go on to Google

and type in Lance Armstrong wins Tour de France. Lance Armstrong has admitted to using

antibiotic steroids. Take a look at him. When Lance Armstrong was stripped of his Tour de France titles,

they wanted to award it to someone else. They couldn't because everyone beneath him was using anti-bolic steroids. So if

anabolic steroids give you these round water-attaining muscles rather than a lean, mean body currently

in vogue, why is every professional cyclist on anabolic steroids?
