As we speak, here in London, there is mayhem on the streets,

while celebrations the likes of which have not been seen since VE Day in 1945 may be

even since we stuck it to the Vikings at the Battle of Stanford Bridge in 1066.

Perhaps even since the land bridge to Europe finally sank permanently into the sea some 8,000

or so years ago, making us the island, we have always been since the dawn of the universe,

because we have reached a deal with the European Union on the terms of Brexit,

pending the next stage of negotiations.
