DJ and Bucky here.

Buck, happy opening day, although I guess technically yesterday was opening day because

0:20.5

as a Padre fan,

0:21.7

watching the Giants just get their face kicked in by the Yankees. It was a nice, it was a good

0:25.5

way to start the baseball season for me. Yeah, I mean, it's funny because always one, and normally

0:30.0

they have all these overseas games and international games that are playing and they kick off

0:33.9

well before opening day. So is opening day really opening day or is it like a trial run before all these other I just never know when the official kickoff is. But it is nice that baseball is underway looking forward to seeing what happens this year. Yeah, it is a different deal. I will say like as the NFL is marching towards 18 games, looks like we're heading in that direction. I'll start there. Why don't we get's start off with it's time for how to not brought to you by Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage because I wanted to get to you, just tie baseball football together here just for a second. As we go to 18 games, the season, the college season has gotten longer if you're in the college playoff. Is there something to, I want to say load management?

1:12.1

We're not hearing the NBA here, but you know, baseball, the Dodgers, you see it. Like, hey, we got to be hitting our stride once we get to the postseason. I mean, you got to make sure you get there, first of all. But I wonder as we go to 18 games, if there is going to be a little more that, hey, you're not 100 percent. Like, let's back off a little bit.

1:26.9

We've got a long haul here.

1:28.2

Well, I'll think about it.

1:29.3

And I wouldn't anticipate it if they go to 18 games, there are going to be two buys that are baked into the regular season. And spending some time up in the CFL and the way that they do it, yeah, there are ways that you can, hey, man, let's get my guy a little week off because you get two weeks

1:45.2

off because you have this week, then the buy week, and then you come back like a completely

1:48.8

different player.

1:50.0

I understand that people are going to say, what about the rhythm and getting that back?

1:54.3

But ultimately, when we think about the tournament, the way the playoffs are constructed, if you're

1:59.0

not getting the number one seed, you have to think about what can I do to put my team in this position to play in the tournament. And if I'm two through seven and we're nearing the end of the season, I have some guys that are kind of iffy, yeah, I'm going to hold them out because I want to make sure when we play in the playoffs, which is where everyone is judged, I want to have my best foot, my best team. The other thing I wanted to ask you on the play on the baseball connection with football, um, we've seen baseball take the lead in terms of technology and it feels like football is is getting there. And as we're going through this pro day process, you're seeing more and more players, as I like to say, buffet, the workout. I'll take one of these, none of those. But I just with the technology that we have now, with all the end game data that teams have, I don't know that it's even you bat an eye at it. I think, and this, I've heard this from some pro days, like that, there are area scouts trying to bully guys into doing everything and doing stuff, but the decision makers, the coaches, the GM, they don't really care. They have all the data. Yeah, no, and that's the thing that we talked about a few years ago when the Rams were on the front end of getting the GPS and getting all their numbers from in-game action,

where they weren't worried about a 40 times in those things, they were already translating
