Ohio State has opened pre-season camp at Stug Lamarice of Cleveland.com and that means

the quarterback competition underway, CJ Stroud, Jack Miller, Kyle McCord.

First day of practice that reporters could watch on Wednesday, August 4th, order of reps

that we saw CJ Stroud won Kyle McCord to Jack Miller 3.

Now Quinn Ewers is going to enroll at Ohio State for the season, not here yet, not in

it right now.

So these are the three guys that are fighting to start against Minnesota.

In the first week, it's September, Ryan Day, head coach, entering year 3 says he's looking

for leadership, looking for guys who can take care of the ball, make the routine plays.

There's a lot of talent around these quarterbacks.

Two of the best two the two best receivers in college football, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave,

really good offensive line, options in the run game, good tight end and Jeremy Ruckert.

So make the routine play, something Ryan Day is looking for and they're going to track

everything, right?

They're going to track all the throws during pre-season camp.

They're going to try to have some objectivity to this, but you know, Ryan Day is going to

look for a guy he thinks can lead the team.

CJ Stroud, the leader, has been that way.

You know, Ryan Day said that it's not the start of campus, the continuation was practice

16, they had 15 in the spring, and this is the continuation of that.
