Summary

Often, when a person goes missing, it happens quickly. A little girl is playing with friends when they lose sight of her, or she gets off the school bus and never makes it home. A dad mows the lawn and is never seen again. But sometimes a disappearance is gradual, with multiple sightings and clues that seemingly lead everywhere and nowhere simultaneously.

Bryce Laspisa was 19 years old when he got in his car and drove away from his girlfriend’s apartment after breaking up with her. His own apartment was 90 miles away, but he never made it home. But he didn’t just vanish. Between August 28th and August 30th, 2013, Bryce was seen by multiple people, including law enforcement, and spoke to his parents on the phone several times. But ultimately, Bryce’s car and belongings were found, but there has been no trace of the young man, over a decade later, and this case has reached the level of infamous.

If you have any information on Bryce Laspisa’s disappearance, please call the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office at 323-890-0550.
