Bryce Crawford is a 22-year-old street preacher, an evangelist, and the founder of Jesus in the Street. Known for bringing his Christian faith directly into public spaces, he travels across the U.S. sharing the gospel in cities, on college campuses, and at large gatherings. After struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts as a teenager, Crawford experienced a life-changing encounter with God on Christmas Day in 2020, a turning point that led him into full-time ministry. Through Bryce Crawford Ministries and his podcast, he shares street conversations, testimony, and Christian teaching with a new generation of believers. He is also the founder of Praise Energy, a faith-driven beverage brand aligned with his broader mission to bring Christianity into everyday culture. ------ Thank you to the sponsors that fuel our podcast and our team: Anthropic https://Claude.com/tetra ------ AGZ https://DrinkAG1.com/tetra ------ LMNT Electrolytes https://DrinkLMNT.com/tetra Use code 'TETRA' ------ Squarespace https://Squarespace.com/tetra Use code 'TETRA' ------ Lectio 365 https://Lectio365.com ------ Sign up to receive Tetragrammaton Transmissions https://www.tetragrammaton.com/join-newsletter

I grew up in church, so I kind of knew a lot about basic Christian things.

0:29.9

I went to a Southern Baptist church, so it was like dressed fairly nicer, you know, khaki pants, button up.

We sang hymns. We sang songs and they would preach

0:42.7

at the end. We would take communion about once a month. And it was a lot of people that I would

0:47.2

see throughout the week, too. It wasn't just like, I would only see them on Sunday. So yeah,

0:52.0

I grew up there. Then we kind of stopped going every Sunday

0:55.4

about fourth or fifth grade. And we were just going every now and then, holidays. That was about

1:00.3

it. How many people were in the church? Oh, man, a couple hundred maybe. And that would be like

1:05.7

on a holiday. So I think consistently, maybe a hundred people. And what would be the feeling in the room? I don't know. I guess for me when I think consistently, maybe 100 people. And what would be the feeling in the room?

1:30.1

I don't know. I guess for me when I was young, it was just a lot, it was more routine. It was just, oh, you know, we're coming here. We're singing a few hymns, singing a few songs. We passed around the offer and plate. There's a 20, 30 minute message, and then we closed. And then as I got older, it felt, I don't know how to say it, like weird.

1:29.4

Weird, I guess't know how to say,

1:33.9

like, weird. I guess that's the only word to describe it. It was just kind of difficult because I was starting to learn more and just kind of understanding like, okay, I'm having a hard time because

1:39.2

like I'm seeing you at church on Sunday and you're encouraging me to live my life one way, but then

1:43.8

I'm seeing you

1:44.3

outside of church doing something completely different. So it felt, it felt like you're holding two

1:49.4

north magnets together and they're like repelling against each other. And I'm like, I don't know how to

1:53.0

feel about this right now. And you think most of the people around you felt the same way?

1:58.7

I think if they were being honest, yes.

2:07.2

I think even outside of that church in my hometown, I grew up in Georgia, so most everybody went to church.
