This is a slightly different kind of episode than I

normally do, but it was a lot of fun. I interviewed my colleague Bruce Highmarsh about his book on

early evangelicalism. I think at this time when evangelicalism is undergoing a necessary reckoning

in many ways, it's also useful to look historically at this unique

movement as it took shape in the late 1700s. So that's not to negate the concerns of the present,

but it's to give us a different angle. So I think you'll really enjoy this episode. Thanks so much
