So it was, you know, I don't know what his wine collection looks like, but I could have been, could have been enticed. When does

one a mandatory mini camp. The Browns are on the field. That's not what's important. Today we

could break down the quarterback battle. There will be other episodes for that. We are here today to tip the cap and pay homage to the great Joel Betonio, who finally, even though he knew,

announced his retirement today. Nine o'clock, that press release went out, and people had their stories ready because we've

been waiting for this for a while. You kind of sort of knew that this was going to be it.

The silence didn't mean he was going to play. The silence meant he was waiting for the right

time to say goodbye. 10.15 this morning, Joel Botonio's wife, Courtney, the three kids walk into the

cross-country mortgage campus. They didn't enter the front door, the big atrium you often see on shots.

They came around the back, the side, the player's entrance, if you will, by the cafeteria.

And they did not know that when they were walking in the door,

that everybody in this building was going to be there with a massive,

heartfelt, emotional round of applause,

like welcoming the guy that has given so much, not only to this team and this organization,

but to Cleveland, to Northeast Ohio, to this community, to people all over, Brown's fans all over.

He didn't know that he was going to get that reception when he walked in the door.

That was like the one time where it almost got him today.
