Morning everybody, welcome along to, well, I thought it was Wednesday. But it turns out it's Thursday. And the only reason I knew that is because I remember thinking, yes, I got a thing from the doctors saying you need to book yourself in for the flu jab, which I get every year

because I'm top of the list, because I'm diabetic and I'm over 65. And so I did it this morning

in the in the wee small hours. You just do it online. It gives you a choice of appointments.

So I'm doing Saturday at 924. I mean, how precise does it have to be? And it takes like a minute, I don't want to be

late. I don't want to be late. And you can change the time. You can do all sorts of different times.

And so I booked it in because I like my flu jab. And it'll be fantastic. Last time when we had the

COVID jab, there was a queue around the block, but they whizzed through people. They were really good at my surgery.

Very, very good indeed.

So where do we begin today with me thinking it was Wednesday?

And now it's turned out to be Thursday, September the 8th.

I'm going to race through this month. morning because what I do is I wake up, I sit down in front of the television, I take my tablets,

and then I generally get myself a nice cup of tea. I was going to say coffee, but I haven't had

coffee for ages. Tea in the mornings, which I quite like. And so I opened the front door to go

and water the baskets, and it was tipping down. So I like of which I'd never seen, it was like,

it was like a flood of epidemic proportions.

And so I thought, well, I better nip out then just do the baskets.

Because when it rains, the baskets, there's so many leaves and everything else.

It just bounces off. It doesn't wet the basket. You could have a bone-dry basket at the end of a monsoon.

You know, it's really quite amazing. All the other plants I left, because I don't really care actually,

because within next week they'll all be going anyway

as we start putting the winter stuff in, which is very nice indeed.
