0:29.7	So let's start by telling us a little bit about yourself, your background, what led up to the founding
0:36.2	the Kyle Peace Foundation.
0:38.3	So, you know, we grew up as lifelong outdoor everything. You know, my parents made a point
0:46.6	when we were in Yosemite National Park to take Kyle to the top of Bridal Falls. And, you know,
0:53.0	so it was always about inclusion. It was about creating
0:55.4	space for Kyle to do the things that everybody else was doing. And in 2011, we found ourselves
1:03.2	competing in our first triathlon together. And Kyle really had just an awakening of what real inclusion felt like to him,
1:14.9	you know, both in terms of athletics but as well as life.
1:18.2	And so his, you know, immediate reaction to this race, which was April of 2011,
1:22.5	was other people need to do this with us.
1:24.5	And that really became the Kyle Peace Foundation.
1:26.7	And we were lucky that we knew a very smart attorney who helped us understand
1:32.0	the process to get our tax exempt status.
1:36.2	And later that year, we had the Kyle Peace Foundation with the goal of improving the lives
1:41.7	of people with disabilities through sports.
