On today's episode, we're going to church and we're bringing broccoli.

Broccoli is a cabbage.

Isn't that a weird thought?

It's part of the brosicoginus and extremely closely related to cauliflower and romonesco.

It's slightly bitter with some people genetically predisposed to perceive it as more bitter than

others.

And it's got that cabbagey, not quite sweetness.

It looks totally bonkers.

The word broccoli is Italian and means little arms, which yikes.

But what's probably most strange about broccoli, at least to me, is how immensely popular

this alien looking vegetable has become.
