Summary

Madusa, Jazz, and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., three generations of incredible, pioneering female wrestlers, were on the Chris Jericho Rock & Wrestling Rager at Sea Triple Whammy last October, and of course that meant there had to be a live podcast about the evolution of women’s wrestling! Madusa came up in the AWA in the 80s, spent three years wrestling in Japan before going to WWE, and then jumping ship to WCW in one of the most historic moments in all of wrestling (think WWE title belt and a trash can). Jazz wrestled during the Attitude Era of WWE, was on the roster when the Divas arrives, and has plenty of stories about trying to be taken seriously as a worker during the time of bikini models and “tits and ass.” And current AEW Women’s World Champion, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. has a completely different experience, and once she credits to the pioneers like Medusa and Jazz who blazed the path before her, and allowed her to main event on AEW DYNAMITE in an Unsanctioned Lights Out match against Thunder Rosa.
