we're going to explore British reactions to the revolution across the channel.

In particular, we'll be focusing on the works of Edmund Burke and Thomas Payne,

unpacking not only how they shaped British debate at the time,

but also how they still influence Western politics today.

We're going to be covering a lot of interesting territory and I guarantee at a minimum

But before we get into it, I would like to take just one moment to introduce grey history.

History isn't black and white and yet too often it's presented as such.

Grey history is a history podcast dedicated to exploring the ambiguity and nuance of the past.

For it's in the grey that history has its beauty, its intrigue and most importantly its lessons.

The current season of grey history is focused on the French Revolution,

one of history's most consequential events, and a period of time in which no one can agree on just about anything.

Well, we're slowly making our way through the revolution,

while taking the time to examine and contrast different experiences, perspectives and conclusions.
