Live from Southern California, this is the Jim Rome show.

This is a significant day, and I don't want to get caught up in the emotion because this has nothing to do with me.

I'm just a guest host, but because I view this show as a community, and whenever I'm working during the holidays,

I do my traditional Jerry Lewis at the Telethon homage talking about how this program has been

here for me as a listener throughout the lowest parts of my life, including 2003,

unemployed, living with my mother in a condo in the Coachella Valley here in Southern

California.

It should have been a reality show.

Nobody booked it.

My point is this.

I'll make sure I continue to reiterate this throughout our three hours together.

This is the last edition of the Jim Rome show in this current time slot,

one that he has dominated for the better part of three decades.

On Monday, Jim is back from his well-earned vacation,

and it's not a seismic shift, not a massive adjustment.

The program is just moving back three hours.

Still, in terms of the details of

what that means on the East Coast, Jim will be working in drive time in major markets. So,

if you have not been made aware of this prior to now, now you're officially notified. The

jungle moves to the new slot 3 p.m. Eastern, noon Pacific on Monday.

Let's jump in with what went down at the Superdome. And as I was supersizing yesterday, I did hit a

drive-thru, but now the overcorrection is going to be. Took the buns off because that's a big difference.
