My name is Taylor Rockwell, and on today's episode, we're talking about the U-S. U-20s being great,

as well as the many Americans on the move or potentially on the move.

To do so, I'm joined by our longtime friend from American Soccer Now.

Oh, thank you very much, Taylor. It's always thrilled to be on. Yeah, man. How are you enjoying your summer without soccer in which there's been an awful lot of soccer happening? Oh, it's been great. I mean, I've had a tough time catching up. It was tough covering the game tough covering the game last week, uh, with my computer meltdown

while I was on vacation and I was typing a lot with my thumb on my iPhone. Um, but other than that,

you know, it's been a lot of fun. Um, and now it's a, we got MLS in full swing, preseason

beginning and, um, you know, it's really, there's no real national team stuff to cover for a bit. So it's really now on the clubs and players progressing there. And then just over all the fun of club soccer, you know, with weak competition, you know, on a near weekly basis. Yeah, man. Well, we're going to talk about some club soccer moves in a moment. First, let's talk U20s. As you said, you were covering them.

The U.S. 20s won their third straight Kaki Kaukak-U20 championship, which has added weight this time around.

Can you explain what their finish means in terms of qualifying for future competitions?

Oh, it's huge. Because for the first time, they've wrapped up Olympic

qualification into the U20 age group as opposed to the U23. And the U23 was always a

tough age group because players were never getting released. You know, when you're that age,

you're not really a youth player anymore, but they, you know, they try to treat it like, you know, you were and clubs, you know, chance to get like a 22, 23 year old voluntarily released from club detail means he has to be like a B-team or a bench player.

And it was, it was proving to be very impossible impossible so they really did the right thing in making

this u20 eligible because it's the last it's the oldest you can get really towards

having your a players released if that makes sense yeah so so they did that and u.s was able to

feel a strong squad not not everyone was released, but a pretty strong squad.

And, you know, it was a fair and square reflection, I think, of where we are. And I think it reflected, you know, well.
