This is the craziest coaching carousel ever.

Two days ago, did you think we would be talking about Lincoln Riley and Brian Kelly in this coaching here?

No.

And it's funny because my entire mailbag, my mailbag column last week led with a letter,

or letter led with a question from a reader saying, why don't some of these guys go after Brian Kelly?

And I said, well, they should.

They should ask at least.

Did you think specifically LSU should?

I thought USC probably would. I think the U.S.S.U.

I thought LSU would ask about Riley.

I'm having trouble picturing Brian Kelly on Bourbon Street.

Like, I just, like, the fit of the Notre Dame head coach going to LSU.

I'm just so stunned.

But what is happening?

Why are these coaches who are in these blue blood great jobs that people retire from, that people work

their whole career to get to jumping ship. I am just flabbergasted. Okay, I have two thoughts

on that. One, I don't think anybody should go into one of these jobs thinking they're going to retire there.
