I was thinking it's starting to feel very strange that we're releasing so many podcasts so quickly, and maybe we'll finally disrupt the YouTube

algorithm. What do you think? Unlikely. Unlike. But for those of you finding these, it's an extra

special treat, I'm sure. And for anyone who doesn't know already, today's discussion is centered

around the music of series composer Patrick Gowers, and it featured his wife Caroline,

daughter Catherine, who played violin through the series, daughter Rebecca, and Sir Timothy,

as well as the producer of the soundtrack album, John Yap. And as Gus said in the intro for this

discussion, we have been working on a proper tribute to Patrick's music. It's been years in the

making, and it's

going to be a whopper of an episode when it's ready. So if you feel like we miss something in this

panel, I would just say, just be patient a little bit longer. But David, what was your

strongest memory from the day? Or from this panel? Strongest memory from this panel was

the respect and the reverence shown by those in attendance towards the family.

Because, I mean, this was our least starry, for lack of a better word, panel.

But it was about showing respect and grace towards a man whose work on the show might not always get the credit it deserves,

but it's the soundtrack to the show and it's a soundtrack to many people's lives through the show.

Well, I think the cool thing was, and I don't know if it comes across in the video,

but when they would say something interesting or meaningful or emotional,

you could hear people in the audience go,

hmm. Yeah. They were very kind of actively listening along. That was nice. It was just nice to know

...
