I am so happy to have Brett Bear with us today. Welcome Brett, how are you? Hey, how are you? Good to be here.

People know you as a Fox News host, but you have done a lot more than that in your career. I think if I'm right,

you covered the Pentagon at one point and the White House and you even did a tour of duty and Raleigh North Carolina back in the day.

I did W. R. A L. The big five there in Raleigh, North Carolina. Actually, before that I was in Rockford, Illinois, and Beaufort, South Carolina. So I've seen the country at different places.

What drew you to the news as a line of work?

You know, I was always a ham in high school.

I kind of like performing, but I was also in sports and I wrote for the newspaper and one of the things in high school we had to do at my high school is spend a month interning at something that you thought you might like to do.

And I interned with Ernie Johnson Jr. who's now on TNT, but then he was at WSB in Atlanta,

a sports guy. And I went to the sports team for you know a couple weeks

straight and every night I'd kind of look over at the news desk and go man I, I think I like that. And that's really what got me fired up for news. And I started interning at other news organizations after that all the way into college.

Well, I can tell you the most newsworthy thing

I have heard in a long time is that you were ever

a ham in life because you come across

as the exact opposite. You come across as an understated not attention seeking person.

So yeah, well it used to be different.
