On this week's episode, I speak to two congressional candidates running for Congress

in the Democratic primary in Kansas.

Brent Welder and James Thompson.

James Thompson is running for Kansas's 4th Congressional District and Brent Welder is running

for Kansas's 3rd Congressional District. Their elections are happening. Kansas' third congressional district.

Their elections are happening this Tuesday, August 7th.

These two candidates really represent a progressive face of the Democratic Party.

In fact, they are so progressive that none other than Bernie Sanders

and Alexandria Casio Cortez, the 28-year-old from the Bronx who of course won her

congressional primary against Joe Crowley in New York, went to Kansas to rally

for these two candidates.

It must have gotten off at the wrong stop because people told me that Kansas was a Republican

State, it doesn't look like that.

They say that the movement won't work in Kansas.

You know, they say don't go to Kansas.

They won't accept you there.
