Thank you for being with us as we break down some of the biggest cases that are making headlines across our country.

And we begin tonight in Virginia. All eyes are on the O'Pair Affair murder trial of Brendan Banfield.

The defense has taken center stage there. And prosecutors say this was a carefully orchestrated, deadly plan.

They say Banfield catfished a man on a fetish dating site, invited him to his home for an attack fantasy on his wife, but it was all set up for that man to take the fall for murder. See, Banfield is accused of faking an elaborate staged scene, one where he barged in on a stranger, attacking his wife, forcing him to shoot the man,

Joseph Ryan, in defense of others. But the prosecution says Banfield is the one who then stabbed

his wife. And what's more, they say he did this all with the help of his daughter's au pair,
