Summary

13-year-old Brenda Sue Davidson disappeared from Woodbridge, Virginia on March 4, 1974. Her little sister, Lisa, was just seven at the time. She grew up believing that Brenda ran away. When Lisa grew up, she decided that she wanted find her sister. When she began asking around, the stories didn't seem to make sense. She started to wonder if her father's abuse had gone too far and if the runaway story was a cover-up.

Lisa desperately wants to find answers and is looking for anyone who may have known her family back then.

She had been talking about running away with some friends, but on this particular afternoon, they weren't with her.

Brenda's mom was told that a woman from the Greyhound bus station had gone to the police and said that she sold a ticket to a young girl, but she couldn't remember where she was going.

Apparently, the woman from the bus station was so worried about leaving the girl alone at the station when she had to run an errand, that she decided to take her along with her to the bank, bringing her back before the bus arrived.

Whether this is true or whether this young girl was Brenda cannot be verified.

In the 44 years that have passed since that day, Brenda's sister Lisa has never given up hope that she would one day find out what happened to her sister.

As I mentioned, Lisa was only 7 years old back in 1974 when Brenda disappeared. The only source Lisa ever had for information about Brenda's disappearance was her mom, and she never questioned it.

It wasn't until Lisa reached her 20s that she began asking questions, and she began pressing her mother for more information.

Her parents have both passed away, her father in 1985, and her mother in 2015. Since then, Lisa has come to the realization that maybe the family and the police were not told the whole truth.
