| 0:38.8 | In fact, loneliness is considered by a former US surgeon general to be the most prevalent |
| 0:49.9 | pathology of our time. |
| 0:53.3 | Health experts call loneliness an epidemic that will escalate as the population ages. |
| 1:02.0 | It is estimated that almost half of Americans of all ages report feeling lonely or isolated. |
| 1:11.2 | These are statistics from the United States, but you can imagine that they stand true |
| 1:19.2 | all around the world as we continue to endure a global pandemic. |
| 1:25.9 | So what to do about loneliness? |
| 1:29.6 | You may find that for you, connection has to do with being alone. |
| 1:39.3 | You may prefer to be alone. |
| 1:41.5 | You might feel connected in other ways. |
| 1:44.2 | You might have an animal. |
| 1:46.5 | You might get together with friends and family, but for the most part, you're enjoying being |
| 1:52.5 | alone. |
| 1:53.5 | I've heard from many of you letting me know that you are so happy to be working from home |
