Oh, it was absolutely not just a habit but part of my DNA.

I would say I have been doing this since I was a very little girl.

And it's so funny because my parents loved me unconditionally.

This did not come like trying to seek their approval.

Although I know women who are perfect for this because of that very thing.

But for me, that wasn't, it was just very much part of my wiring.

And I fell into it really deeply.

So it was funny because I came back to Ray weeks later.

And I said, Ray, I am working so hard to feel God's love.

Like I am reading books, I am listening to worship music.

I am praying that God showed me His love.

I'm just doing everything.

And she started laughing.

And she looked at me and she said, did you hear yourself?

And I was like, what?

And she said, you said you were working to feel God's love.

Amy, she said you have to rest to feel God's love.
