You've heard me say here time and again that the wheels of justice turn slowly, but nevertheless, they come to turn.

We may now be seeing the end of Donald Trump as the January 6th committee is seeking a criminal referral for the former president. Now this is big stuff folks, so let me break

it all down for you. Tonight, major action by the January 6th committee that includes a new filing suggesting for the first time there is evidence to conclude former President Donald Trump may have committed crimes to stay in office.

The House Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the Capitol said on Wednesday that there was enough evidence to conclude that former President Donald

J. Trump and some of his allies conspired to commit fraud and obstruction by misleading

Americans about the outcome of the 2020 election and attempting to overturn the result.

In a court filing in a civil case in California, the committee's

lawyers for the first time laid out their theory of a potential criminal case against the former

president. They said they had accumulated evidence demonstrating that Trump, the conservative

lawyer John Eastman, other allies, could potentially

be charged with criminal violations, including obstructing an official proceeding of Congress

and conspiracy to defraud the American people.

What you have here, it's a big deal.

It's a formal legal brief by this congressional committee, the January 6th committee, saying there's a good faith basis to believe that Donald Trump committed felonies and that this lawyer, John Eastman, helped him do it.
