and she just speaks to us about how hospitals try to streamline women,

particularly black women, just in and out, in and out, you know what I'm saying?

yeah listen that's why she needs to be here but she speaks about how hospitals do procedures that don't necessarily need to be done and why

dualists provide not only support but information to the mother to help them realize that they don't

have to do everything these doctors are telling to do a lot of which are unnecessary

procedures. She also speaks about how having a doula around during the pregnancy

stage can be can help be informative for the family, for the father, for the support

system, how doing a birthing plan can reduce stress for an expecting

family, especially the mother, and how that can affect the family dynamic, how she

can lessen stress on the family dynamic. We also taught the postpart of experience and why having a doula can be helpful during that time as well,

especially when a lot of fathers don't know what's going on, when

fathers are confused and feel like, man, this isn't the same person that I was

with before this pregnancy. What's happening?
