I'm your host, retired NYPD Sergeant Bill Cannon, a 27-year veteran of the NYPD.

You know, folks, some new information, of course, has come up in the Stefan Stern's case.

But one of the most chilling things you can hear, especially when we know now what has occurred,

but the interviews, the police interviews, were done prior to them knowing

that Stefan Stearns had all those horrific images on his phone and prior to them charging

him with murder in the first degree.

I'm convinced, because I've done this before,

that the detectives knew he was suspect numero uno from the very beginning.

And interview and interrogation is a chess match.

And you don't want to push too hard because if you push too hard,

the suspect can do what we call lawyer up.

That means invoke counsel.

Say he wants an attorney and then the interview is over. So you have to proceed slowly and methodically and use psychology.

And I love to use that Yiddish word from New York, schmooze.

You try to schmooze.

Be nice to the suspect, even though your skin is crawling to be sitting in the

same room as this person. So we're going to hear tonight some of the, this afternoon, actually,

maybe tonight for some of you guys, depending on what time zone you're in, but we're going to hear

some of the interview, some of the interrogation.

And we'll know by listening to this, that this occurred before they had any of the evidence that they collected since they found the evidence on his phone.

So folks, hold on to your hats.
