ladies and gentlemen to a special edition of the Politics Politics Podcast on a Saturday night

because Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States

and current front runner to become the 47th

president of the United States has survived an assassination attempt in Butler,

Pennsylvania at a rally. He was only minutes into it when gunshots rang out. He was pushed to the floor by secret

service, emerged bleeding from his ear, and then rushed away from the scene.

We have now confirmed that the shooter is dead

according to law enforcement

as well as a rally goer who was shot and killed

by the assassin's bullet.

There's another rally goer who was also in serious condition.

This posted on truth social by Donald Trump. I want to thank the United States

Secret Service and all law enforcement for the rapid response on the shooting that

just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend

my condolences to the family of the person at the rally who was killed and also to a member of another person that was badly injured.

It is incredible that such an act can take place in our country.

Nothing is known at this time about the shooter who is now dead.

I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear

and I knew immediately that something was wrong and that I heard a whizzing sound

shots and immediately felt a bullet ripping through my skin.

Much bleeding took place, so I realized what was happening.
