Well, good morning, everybody. Thank you for joining us here at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy.

It is Vietnamese Day, and we're glad that you could join us.

I have a strong tie to the Vietnamese people.

My father, obviously, serving in Southeast Asia, being in Vietnam, and my seminaryary time I went to seminary with a lot of

the Vietnamese sisters so praise me to God we're glad you're with us and today's topic

it really is so important and I'm coming from a aspect of a personal experience for me of

something that really changed my life, Father Anthony.

I credit him to show me this. And so we're going to be talking today about soul ties. Now,

the church doesn't use the word, and the word is not in the Bible, but the concept and the meaning

is very Catholic of these attachments that can affect our

lives, even long from the past. Father Mark talked about the healing of the family tree last week,

and that is really when our ancestors have sinned. Those consequences the Bible tells us will go down for four

generations because that is the length of a lifetime, 25 years each. And so those are really

portals. We'll explain what a portal is opened by our ancestors and Father Mark talked about last week.

This week, I'm going to talk about the portals you opened and I opened in our own lives and how we can fix those.

Because if you sound like a broken record in the confessional, repetitive sin, this talk is for you.

And so we've opened our portals in the past through negative actions and words and deeds with other people.

And we need to break that, renounce that.

So that's what we'll talk about today.

Heavenly Father, we ask you send the Holy Spirit down upon us to open our mind and our hearts,

to receive the grace you want to give us the grace to be free of attachments, broken free from the consequence of sin, be healed
