Summary

If we want a successful life, our mindset is important. We can either embrace a mentality of failure or of success. Our minds are powerful, and our thought processes can move us in either direction. Mindsets of self-preservation and poverty go against what God’s Word teaches us about trusting in Him for everything we need; neither should we fall prey to a comparison mindset. As believers, we must have faith that our heavenly Father rules over and sustains all things, and that because we are in Him, we will have no lack or insufficiency in any area of our lives. We must also remember that comparing ourselves to others minimizes what God has done for us. Jesus, who is our perfect example, knew that He was a child of the King, and that the King’s children always have more than enough; this is how we must think.

0:24.7	talks about as a man thinketh in his heart so is he. So who you are in your life
0:31.8	who you are in your heart is going to be based on your thinking or the mentality that you
0:37.3	carry. And so I'm calling this series breaking mentalities of failure.
0:45.3	Breaking mentality's of failure.
0:50.6	And I want to begin in Genesis chapter 12 because we're going to talk about several
0:56.0	mentality that we need to to break up. We need to deal with self-preservation
1:01.4	mentality. We're going to deal with the poverty mentality
1:05.0	and how to break that poverty mentality. We can also deal with the comparison
1:10.5	mentality, how to break the comparison mentality. How to break the comparison mentality. We're going to also talk about how to break the consumer mentality.
1:20.1	We're going to talk about breaking the hitchhiker mentality, the inferiority mentality,
1:27.0	resources are limited mentality, the wilderness mentality, the glass chin mentality. the
1:33.0	glass chin mentality and the fear of risk mentality. I believe that as we
1:39.0	really attack these areas that you can find yourself avoiding failure because you are
1:48.8	addressing the way you think. You're addressing those mentalities that have been established over time.
1:56.8	And so I want to begin in Genesis chapter 12 verse one because Abraham had a mentality that he had to get away from.
2:06.3	Notice in verse one he says, now the Lord had said under Abram, get thee out of thy country and from thy father from thy kindreds and
