Greetings, parish robins and retrogrades.

The late breaking news in the Catholic world, particularly in America, is that of Bishop

David O'Connell, who was shot down in his own bedroom, in his own house late last week,

and it has recently come out in the Irish Times that he had some

extreme views. So we wanted to report on those. In the next 15 minutes, there's supposed to be

some more details released about Bishop David O'Connell's attacker. Details are emerging there, and it's a really,

really, really strange story. But first, I just want to open with an Our Father, pray for

the repose of Bishop David O'Connell because, of course, he died in a violent scene and we want him to go to heaven.

So we will open today in the name of the Father and in the name of the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us,

and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
