Big developments this afternoon. Scott Pelly, this former CBS host, well, he's going scorched earth against Barry Weiss right now at a time where an Epstein investigation in New Mexico is ramping up.

While the federal government won't take action, New Mexico authorities are issuing significant subpoenas today that must be complied with.

And all the while, the president of the United States is essentially

in hiding, has not been seen publicly in eight days. No one knows where he is or why he hasn't been

seen publicly outside of some pre-recorded videos, pre-recorded taped interviews. The president is

relatively behind closed doors. And for a president like Donald Trump, that is far from normal.

This afternoon, a bipartisan special committee of New Mexico lawmakers,

which was created to probe Jeffrey Epstein, Zoro Ranch near Santa Fe,

announced that it will be sending out its first round of subpoenas.

The New Mexico Truth Commission will be sending out 14 subpoenas to several agencies that investigated Epstein in the past, including the FBI and the New Mexico Department of Justice.

Sabinas will be also issue to several entities

that have been affiliated with Epstein,

including Deutsche Bank and J.P. Morgan Chase,

as well as the Santa Fe Institute,

which is a nonprofit scientific research institute

that Epstein supported.

J.P. Morgan Chase and Deutsche Bank declined comments.

Santa Fe Institute did not immediately respond

to requests for comment.
