We're here to talk with Corey Kenan, who is a little bit everywhere.

0:36.3

I want to give Corey a chance to talk about his substack, which is putting out fantastic work in a lot of his other landing spots lately with his stellar quarterback charting and many other things. We're excited to talk to Corey. I think we've got a great show where we're going to really pinpoint these quarterbacks who, I can't say Corey, other than, you know, the names that most folks know from a national level have put in more work on these guys than you.

So I'm really excited to get your opinion, buddy. It's happening, dude. How's life? How's traveling back from Indy? That's been a while. It's been a while. So, I mean, yeah, traveling back from Indy was fine. Luckily, my wife is from Indy. so my wife and i have an agreement as As long as I take the kids with me, I'm good to go. So I took the kids with me. She had the house to herself. I dropped them off with Grandma and Grandpa and spent four days out. Way later that I've been out in a very, very long time again, the two kids things, two under three or three and under is a lot. So just trying to sneak in time when I can,

but it was, it was a good long, exhausting, fulfilling week. Lots of info, lots of stuff to digest.

But it's been, it's been a rewarding process. Yeah. Well, talk to us a little bit about it for

1:40.5

people that don't get to go. Like, you know, you're, you're moving to a bunch of different buildings. There's obviously interviews, different locations for the interviews versus where you're getting to see them on the field, obviously. And then obviously there's the, all the, you know, sort of testing and weigh-ins and all that. So yeah, like, is everything close to congest? Like, I don't know if it's moved and changes I've been there, but I think it's always fun to hear what your favorite parts of the combine process are. If you're somebody just sort of tuning in, what's that all like? Yeah. So honestly, I need to get there earlier in the week because people who get there Monday and Tuesdays have said, like that's the prime networking time. Honestly, that's the part that I find most rewarding. And it sounds kind of like, oh, you're not working that hard when going out to the bars late after night at the night, like after everything is over is the most rewarding. But like, it legitimately, like I sat down and I talked with scouts and agents about evaluating quarterbacks for 90 minutes at the Marriott bar. Like, and it's a scout that I've known for a really long time. He's a really good friend of mine now. And, you know, he had some, he's from South Carolina. So you had some agents from South Carolina and just heard them talk about South Carolina football and the hotbed that it is and like, oh, like low key like elite hotbed of South Carolina football, but just hearing them spit that out and talk like, I think that's a lot of the rewarding. I you know I freaking met Trevor Lawrence agent and spent hours talking to Trevor Lawrence as

agent so a lot of cool stuff late at night to really build up a roll of decks to to be

3:00.1

able to provide information that isn't generally out there the days are long obviously

3:05.8

media stars at like eight some some days, nine some days.

3:08.6

Um, and that is, you know, getting set up in the media room, huge ballroom, just tables

3:13.1

and outlets everywhere where all the media members can come up and write their content

3:17.2

that they go down and collect, all the quotes they go down and collect, come back up, write

3:19.8

the content.

3:21.1

Usually 20, 30 minute podium sessions, they'll shuffle players in and out from

3:24.8

eight to noon, nine to noon in 20 minute increments. And you got to kind of be strategic

3:31.0

because it's hard to hit more than two podiums in a 20 minute and there's probably eight

3:33.8

podiums. So you've got to be strategic about what players you want to talk to. So but that's that
