Father, how could something so amazing as taking five loaves and a couple of fish and feeding 5,000 people go so badly.

So grant that we would see ourselves here where we are in this text, who are we?

Who are you? What went wrong?

Granted it not go wrong in these rooms here, south, north campus, in anybody's heart or mind.

Instead, help us to see what Jesus wish they had seen.

In his name we pray. Amen.

One of the reasons that God created bread, created grain and water and yeast and fire and human intelligence to make bread, and I have in mind the really good kind of bread, you know, German bread.

Not the kind that's 90% air.

The reason, one of the main reasons, I really believe this with all my heart. One of the main reasons that God

created bread is so that when Jesus Christ came into the world, he would be able to use it

to illustrate from its delightful and nourishing qualities what it's like to believe on him

and to be satisfied with him.

I believe that with all my heart.
